IBM announced today that they have discovered new methods of manufacuring “The Cell”, which will result in more “Cells” produced and delivered to Sony, for PS3.  “The Cell” will be the primary processing unit in Playstation 3.  While this does not necessarily mean that the PS3 won’t be scarce at launch, as any one unit short of production can cause delays in manufacturing, it is a good sign as analysts were most worried about the production of “The Cell” slowing down development of Playstation 3.
