In a recent announcement in Japan, Sega has announced that a new Sonic game will be created for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The release date is still not known, but it is expected to be sometime in 2006, and possibly coincide with the 15th Anniversary of Sonic, from the original 1991 Sega Genesis game. The project is codenamed “Sonic: The Hedgehog”.
