Recently on Amazon’s French store, Amazon.fr, the launch date of PS3 has been set at March 15, 2006. This has yet to be confirmed by Sony or Amazon executives, yet it would fall in the timeframe of Spring 2006, which Sony announced at E3 as the release date for PS3.

Playstation 3 has recently appeared on Amazon.com with the price tag of $299, the same of the Xbox 360. While there has been no official release by Sony, this seems promising, as some experts had predicted a pricetag of $400+ for the base model of PS3.
